Refreshing face spray

My favorite part of my daily beauty regime is my refresh spray. I like to keep a bottle in my purse and use it throughout the day and after my workouts.I also spray my body after showers and give my hair a spray of it to reduce frizzies.
This is my personal tried and true recipe that will sooth your skin and make you feel refreshed. It's a mix of green tea ,essential oil,and rose water.
Green tea has so many fantastic benefits for you skin, like improving complection, reducing inflammation  as well as improving elasticity and keeping your skin healthy, preventing wrinkles and for over all rejuvenation.
Rose water is a great toner and helps to keep skin clear of blemishes all well improving circulation. The soft rose scent will lift your mood and ease anxiety.
One of my favorite oils is lavender because its scent is calming and lifts my mood. There are really SO many benefits to lavender oil and it's perfect to use for all skin types, even acne prone skin. I added it into this spray for its anti aging effects.

Ballet barre tutorial

Hi everyone!
I hope you all had a great week, full of finding ways to bring happiness into your life.
As promised on my Facebook page

https://m.facebook.com/Nottutulate/

Without further ado...here is the tutorial for you.

What you need,

Step 1.
I used 2 inch diameter PVC.
Take the two 9 inch pieces and connect on each side of a "T" joint.
Repeat with the other two 9 inch pieces and "T " joint.
Those are the Barre legs.

Step 2.
Take a 30 inch piece and connect to a "T" joint, then connect a 3 inch
piece to other side. On top of your 3 inch piece connect a curve joint. Repeat step 2 with your other 30 inch piece.

Step 3
Now you're going to connect the two pieces you just made in step 2 (the sides of the barre) to your two 5 foot peices. (These are your hand rails) .

Step 4.
Add the feet you made in step 1.

There you have it! Your very own Ballet barre for under $30 bucks and in four easy steps! You can buy special PVC glue to hold it all together permanently. I like that I can take mine apart as needed, so I did not not glue mine. If you chose to not glue yours please be aware there IS a risk of it coming apart during use. You've been warned. If children will be using the Barre I highly suggest you glue it.  I'm  not responsible for any ingury to anyone who uses this barre ...ok ,now that I've put a disclaimer on this
I hope you enjoy your barre! Here is one of my favorite barre workouts taught by the beautiful and talented ballerina Katheryn Morgan.
Happy dancing!!

Lemon caper noodles

I LOVE capers, especially when they are drowning in butter! I needed a side dish for dinner today and had ZERO motivation to go out into the -5° weather.  So that meant one thing! I had to raid the fridge and hope I had items that worked well with each other. Among the FIVE half empty bottles of yellow mustard, (I have no clue why, but every time we are going to eat mustard with something, we are at the store and asume we have none!) I found a jar of capers. My mouth began to water thinking about their umami flavor.  I bought them to make Chicken Piccota...oh, maybe six months ago! It was time to use them . Using my capers as inpiration I tossed together a noodle side dish that is very reminiscent of the chicken Piccota flavor .  It turned out pretty darn good. Thought I'd share with you all. This could also be a meal on it's own, perfect for vegetarians or even vegans ...believe it or not, up until a few years ago, I thought a caper was a fish lol!

Lemon Piccota Noodles
This was enough to feed my family of six as a side dish.
1box 14.5 ounce rottini noodles
1 stick grass fed butter
1/2 can black olives sliced in half
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 1/2 ounces of capers
1 teaspoon minced garlic
Parmesan cheese or if you're vegan nutritional yeast for sprinkling on top.

Make your noodles as directed and drain water.
Melt the butter in the pot the noodles were cooked in. Once better is all melted add noodles back in and mix the rest of ingredients in also. Top with your choice of cheese or nutritional yeast or both ;)
Enjoy!
Blessings,
Susan

The pointe of this blog.

Hi all!!
I'm tutu excited about this project! ....yes, I'm  so excited I'm using puns. ;)
I was thinking about how I'm finally ready to reach my dreams of becoming a ballerina.  A bit of background about me, I'm  a former Ballet dancer and teacher. I've  been on a leave of absence for almost TEN years!! I am THRILLED to be back at it!
I'm out of shape and need to get healthy again.
This blog is dedicated to eating healthy, building a healthy dancer's body, random recipes, some fun tips on beauty, AND hopefully inspiration for you to  reach your dreams, no matter how old you are!

To start off our journey off on the right foot (ha! Pun totally intended) I want to give you an awesome recipe for my favorite  morning drink.

Super kick coffee
1 cup  of your favorite coffee
1 scoop of chocolate protein
1 tablespoon coconut oil.
Add your protein and coconut oil to your coffee mug
Pour half cup of coffee over mixture
Use an adorable little hand mixer like this

Blend until coconut oil is fully melted.
Add rest of coffee and blend slightly.
I drink this every morning! It gives me just the perk I need to get moving. I hope you enjoy this drink as much as I do!

I will leave you today with one of my favorite quotes by the amazing Misty Copeland.
